Pastor Scott attended Seminary at Carolina Bible Institute to further his studies in Theology, Biblical Chronologies, and Leadership Ministry.
He began his Ministry in the year 2000 , first as the Senior Pastor at Lanwood Chapel FWB Church in Selma, NC before moving on to become Senior Pastor at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Benson, NC from 2005-2010. Pastor Scott then entered into Evangelistic Ministry where he preached and served in many capacities for 7 years. In 2017, he became Interim Pastor here at Stones Creek AC Church, before eventually becoming full time Senior Pastor in April of 2018.
Pastor Scott's desire as a church is to be within the community and surrounding areas proclaiming the Word of Christ ; as well as providing good deeds whenever possible to the community. As well as serving with BAMA (Benson Area Ministerial Association) food pantry and clothes closet among other things.
Outside of the church Ministry, Pastor Scott has also served in many capacities. Including being the former Chaplain for Veterans Treatment Court in Harnett County, where he counseled Veterans of various wars and service.
He currently serves as Chaplain for the Johnston County Chapter Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, as well as the Chaplain for the South Johnston High School football program.
Pastor Scott is a man who loves God, God's people, and His Word. He enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. Also loves riding his Harley, golf, and reading/studying to learn whatever he can to share with others.
He enjoys preaching and teaching the Word of God with power, conviction, and without compromise. He loves the young, the elderly, and the unchurched. The young, because they have so much to gain. The elderly, because they have so much to share. And the unchurched, because their eternal destiny is at hand.
Pastor Scott is also a "singing preacher" who loves to use his talents to sing for the glory of the Lord. Having spent time living in Nashville, TN pursuing a career in country music as a singer-songwriter in the nineties, God dealt strongly with his heart. And after moving back home to Benson, NC he repented of his sins, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, and accepted Christ as his Savior. And a few years later, God revealed his true calling and plan for Pastor Scott's life, that was God's will all along.
For God told the Prophet Jeremiah "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you, ordained you a Prophet to the nations" (Jer. 1:5)
