Dianne Barefoot Wood was raised in Stones Creek Church and the Meadow community
by her parents Thomas and Mary Ann Barefoot. She is the fourth of six children.
Dianne has always loved music, especially gospel both Southern and Contemporary.
Her love of music was instilled in her by her family who has musical talents. Dianne has
two sons who were also raised in Stones Creek Church. She has been a choir member
for many years and has been the choir director at Stones Creek for three terms. She
also directed a choir at Progress Energy for several years and at the Dunn Advent
Christian Church. Dianne served on the Board of Directors of the State Annual Singing
Convention or several years. It is Dianne’s belief that music is a universal language and
that there are sermons in songs which are drawing forces to Christ. Her love for music
is an intricate part of her Christian calling. It is her desire to share Christ in deeds,
actions, words, and music. To God be the glory for all the things he has done in life!
